Tongan born and raised Sesimani is one of many small island state inhabitants braving the impacts of Accelerated Climatic Change, Global Environmental Deterioration, Social and Economic instability amongst other factors impacting on daily life. She advocates in spaces pertaining to securing a better future for Tongans through pursing community acceptable environmental solutions to building resilience and sustainable development within the Tongan means. 

She holds an undergraduate Science degree in Forensic Science (Australia) and has spent the over 10 years working in different sectors from private businesses to government offices and is now working with civil society organizations in Tonga. Her roles vary from community engagement to technical advisor in environmental and CSO space.
