Claire Cayzer is a lawyer specialising in public international law. She currently works as a Legal Adviser in the Australian Red Cross International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Division and is responsible for engaging with the humanitarian and health sectors in Australia to promote and ensure respect for the laws of war. She first joined Australian Red Cross in January 2020 as the Coordinator of the Immigration Detention Monitoring Program, and prior to this, she worked in the fields of international law and protection for organisations including the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Somalia, Amnesty International Australia, and the Australian Government.
