Founder and CEO of Our Big Kitchen charity in Bondi, NSW, he is also Executive Director of the Sydney Rabbinical College, and chaplain in the Ambulance Service of NSW. He is a member of the ethics committee of the Cancer Institute of NSW and he is Co-founding Director of Gift of Life Australia, a register of bone marrow donors. He is a Rabbi and active member of the Chabad (Lubavitch) Hasidic Jewish community. He is married to Laya Slavin with whom he has seven children.
