About Australian Council for International Development
The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) is the peak body for Australian non-government organisations (NGOs) involved in international development and humanitarian action. ACFID represents over 130 member organisations, working across more than 90 countries to tackle global challenges such as poverty, inequality, and climate change.
As a leader in advocacy, policy development, and best practice for the international development sector, ACFID works to ensure that Australia's contributions to international aid are impactful, ethical, and aligned with sustainable development goals. ACFID also manages the Code of Conduct, a self-regulatory framework that promotes high standards of transparency, accountability, and effectiveness across the sector.
At the ACFID National Conference, ACFID will present key initiatives aimed at fostering solidarity and resilience in global development, while also offering valuable networking opportunities for professionals and organisations committed to creating a just and equitable world.
