Professional Bio
Alice Ridge is the Senior Research, Policy & Advocacy Advisor at the International Women’s Development Agency leading research and advocacy on feminist foreign policy, and funding feminist movements, among other issues. She was instrumental in establishing and convening the Australian Feminist Foreign Policy Coalition, and in the creation of the podcast F! It! Exploring feminist and First Nations approaches to foreign policy. Prior to joining IWDA, Alice worked for five years with the Australian Council for International Development, leading sector-wide projects including Australia Ahead of the Curve; research on the use of gender audits in international development organisations; and managing the 2018 independent review on preventing sexual misconduct. Alice has been an Advisor to the W7 under Germany’s presidency in 2022 and contributes to global advocacy coalitions in multilateral forums such as the Commission on the Status of Women. In 2022 she was one of Young Australians in International Affairs’ Young Women to Watch. Alice holds a Bachelor of Arts (University of Melbourne) and a Graduate Certificate in Gender Mainstreaming and Analysis (Flinders University).
