Sam Quinn is the Climate Change & Environmental Protection Coordinator at Caritas Australia. His role focusses on strengthening climate action initiatives across the Agency’s work, including providing climate and environmental technical advice, leading the development and implementation of Caritas Australia’s Climate Justice Roadmap, and co-design of the Agency’s climate-related development programs.

Prior to Caritas Australia, Sam worked at the Humanitarian Advisory Group, across their climate and environment portfolio; most notably, the three-year Greening the System research stream, operating as one of the lead researchers and authors on the stream’s key products such as the Framework for Greening Humanitarian Action in the Pacific, and Pathways towards a Green Humanitarian Response. 

He has provided technical support to inform government investments, and holds strong experience in fields of climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, anticipatory action and loss and damage.
