Soman is Senior Manager for Public Affairs at CARE Australia. He works with programme, technical and country teams to develop evidence-based advocacy, media and strategic communications. His technical areas of work in recent years have been in leading joint-agency aid diplomacy, protection, strengthened localization and access negotiation. 

 

Prior to joining CARE Australia, Soman worked as the representative of the INGO community in Lebanon. He has had previous postings in Bangladesh, Jordan and Yemen and has worked with the United Nations, Oxfam and in Australian politics. Soman has an academic background in law, politics, international affairs and development.
