Who They Are
The Home in Place mission is that ‘everyone has a right to adequate and affordable housing and to live in sustainable communities . With nearly 40 years of experience, Home in Place provides over 8,500 social, affordable, and disability housing solutions for people. Managing housing properties across Australia and New Zealand. They have completed community projects in Vanuatu and Fiji.
Their Expertise
Home in Place has a strong commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, evident in its operations and through its advocacy work for the right to housing through the Everybody’s Home Campaign. It has consultative status with the United Nations ECOSOC organisation, it has had representation on the UN General Assembly of Partners and is a member of the Pacific Urban Partnership (PUP) together with UN Habitat, UN ESCAP, CLGF. Un Melbourne and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat . Through this multi stakeholder partnership they work to accelerate the implementation of the SDG’s in the Pacific .
The PUP organise the Pacific Urban Forum conference biennially advocating for and tracking progress of the SDG’s in the pacific islands.

As a geographically dispersed organisation, Home in Place has a strong commitment to local communities and neighbourhoods through ongoing programs and individual projects. Their dedication to social inclusion, economic opportunity, and community cohesion is evident in initiatives such as community hubs and the Grow a Star youth mentoring program.
Regulated and Accredited
Home in Place operates under the National Community Housing Regulatory System (NCHRS) as a Tier 1 provider and holds full accreditation under the National Community Housing Standards. They are also a registered SDA provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme across multiple states and territories.
International Impact
Home in Place is committed to upholding the UN Charter of the Human Right to “adequate, safe, and sustainable housing for all”. They are active on the international stage, contributing to and sponsoring key events such as the World Urban Forum and partnering with organisations including RMIT University on climate change adaptation projects. It has a strategic partnership and MOU with the Fiji Public Rental Board Housing to assist deliver and manage 3,000 new properties
Advisory Services
