Kate Lee has been Executive Officer of Union Aid Abroad since 2013.
Prior to Union Aid Abroad, Kate worked for Australian trade unions for 12 years. Her earlier career was in women’s health, health promotion and migrant and refugee organisations in community development, policy, campaigning roles. Kate has worked with diaspora communities in Australia for human rights, self-determination and democracy since the late 1980’s.
Kate holds a Master of Policy and Applied Social Research from Macquarie University. In 2002, she was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to investigate union and community organising internationally.
Kate is a board member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), the peak organisation for international aid organisations in Australia.
