Professional Bio
Nalini Singh, from Fiji, is a feminist and a social development specialist with over 20 years' experience in design, implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of women's rights and development programmes in Asia Pacific. Nalini returned home seven years ago to head the Fiji Women's Rights Movement (FWRM) as their Executive Director after working in regional feminist organizations for 12 years. FWRM is a leading feminist human rights organization that links local concerns to global debates and for the past 36 years it has consistently worked on ending discrimination against women - balancing the gender scales.
In some other roles, Nalini is currently an Electoral Commissioner with the Electoral Commission Fiji. She is a Board member of International Women's Rights Action Watch - Asia Pacific (www. iwraw-ap.org) and an active member of the Asia Pacific Forum for Women, Law and Development (APWLD).
