Mr. Pradip Pariyar is the founder of the Dalit Lives Matter Global Alliance (DLMGA) and currently leads the #DalitLivesMatter movement. He previously served as the Executive Chairperson of the Samata Foundation. In recognition of his impactful work, the World Economic Forum selected Mr. Pariyar as one of its Young Global Leaders in the Class of 2020. He received the ‘Asia’s 21 Young Leaders Award’ from the Asia Society in 2018 for his contributions to training thousands of youths globally in leadership, peacebuilding, and social justice. In 2015, the Nepal Government’s Ministry of Youth and Sports honored him with the ‘Youth Leadership Award’ for his initiation of the Youth Vision 2025, a 10-year national youth development policy. Additionally, in 2011, Mr. Pariyar was selected as a youth fellow by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
