As the Communications Officer for Tuvalu Climate Action Network (TuCAN), I am deeply committed to amplifying the voices of Tuvalu’s communities in the global fight against climate change. TuCAN, as the leading NGO driving climate action in Tuvalu, empowers local communities to take charge of their climate resilience and adapt to the challenges we face as a small island nation.

In my role, I combine my passion for storytelling with my skills as a photographer to capture and share powerful images of our people, our landscapes, and the impacts of climate change on our islands. Photography allows me to document the resilience of Tuvaluans, showcase grassroots initiatives, and visually communicate the urgency of our climate crisis to both local and global audiences.

Whether it's highlighting the beauty of our islands or the challenges we face, I believe that visuals can create a stronger emotional connection and inspire action. Through my work at TuCAN, I aim to inspire others to join the movement for climate resilience, using both words and images to tell Tuvalu's story of hope, leadership, and determination.

Our mission is to protect Tuvalu’s future, and through photography and communication, I work to ensure that our message is seen, heard, and felt around the world.
